Noor Farhana Binti Ab Karim (Han)
Noor Farhana Binti Ab Karim (Han) brings over 12 years of extensive experience in the halal food and supply chain industry, with a strong foundation in food science, research, and regulatory compliance. Her career has been shaped by a robust academic background and hands-on involvement with both national and international halal bodies.
She began her academic journey at SMKA Maahad Hamidiah, Kajang, before earning a Diploma in Science and later a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). Her internship at the Halal Department, Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) sparked her passion for halal compliance and regulatory frameworks. Noor Farhana then pursued a Master of Science in Transport and Logistics, specializing in Halal Supply Chain by Research, which required close collaboration with regulatory bodies and international organizations.
Her expertise extends to active involvement in major halal initiatives. She contributed as a committee member for the World Halal Summit 2015, hosted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), and collaborated with JAKIM, MATRADE, and the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC). She also participated in the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) Halal Conference, jointly organized by DSM, JAKIM, and HDC.

She is a Certified Professional Halal Executive by JAKIM’s Halal Professional Board (HPB) and a Certified ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor. Her comprehensive knowledge enables her to provide practical advisory services in halal certification, compliance audits, best practices in manufacturing, and halal assurance systems.
Her experience includes managing regulatory certification applications with the Ministry of Health Malaysia, particularly for food product exports. She is fluent in Malay and English, and is well-versed in Arabic, Korean and Japanese, making her an asset in cross-cultural and international collaborations.
